     We understand by healthy lifestyle those habits of our daily life that help us to stay healthier and with fewer functional functions. To lead a healthier life we ​​must focus mainly on two aspects: our diet and physical exercise.馃





    To lead a healthy life, all kinds of excesses must be avoided: it is just as bad to eat too much as it is to eat too little. In this sense, the most nutritious foods should be chosen, especially cereals, fruits and vegetables, and drink plenty of water, maintaining an adequate body weight. Fashion has driven people to lose weight to appear extremely thin, leading many young people to life-threatening diseases such as bulimia and anorexia.

    Something similar happens with the other aspects. For example, you should sleep approximately eight hours a day, despite the fact that the capitalist world encourages you to increase productivity and despises leisure; walk twenty blocks a day (according to age and general physical condition) leaving aside the use of vehicular transportation over these distances. Nothing should be lived as an obsession, thinking all the time about the things that could affect us, and desperately avoiding them, will only lead to upsetting the psychological balance. For example: "I became obsessed with living a healthy life, and I did not eat anything without looking at the labels with the ingredients of the products and I did not want to leave the house to avoid contagion, which caused me stress, and that is not satisfactory for the Health".

    You should also avoid drugs, alcohol, tobacco, self-medication; and consult the doctor in cases where symptoms of any pathology are felt, and once a year, as a routine, after the age of 40, to do tests, cardiology studies, and control blood pressure.

Exercise regularly and control your weight.

  • -Do not drink much alcohol and avoid it completely if you have a history of alcoholism. -Use medications prescribed by your health care provider as directed. -Eat a healthy and balanced diet. -Taking care of teeth. -Control high blood pressure. -Follow good security practices. EXERCISE Exercise is a key factor in staying healthy. Exercise strengthens bones, heart and lungs, tones muscles, improves vitality, relieves depression and helps you sleep better. Talk to your provider before starting an exercise program if you have health problems such as obesity, high blood pressure, or diabetes. This helps ensure that the exercise is safe and that you get the most out of it. SMOKING Cigarette smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States. One in 5 deaths each year is the direct or indirect result of smoking. Indirect exposure to cigarette smoke can cause lung cancer in non-smokers. Indirect exposure to this smoke is also linked to heart disease. It is never too late to quit smoking. Talk to your provider about medicines and programs that can help you quit smoking. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Alcohol consumption changes many brain functions. It affects in the first instance the emotions, the thought and the judgment. With continued alcohol ingestion, motor control is affected, producing slurred speech, slower reactions, and loss of balance. Having a higher amount of body fat and drinking on an empty stomach speed up the effects of alcohol.

On the contrary, we must apply good habits such as: walking, eating healthy, drinking lots of water and doing light physical exercise.
